Project: Camp Sacajawea Facility Expansion

Our Role: Campaign Management

Goal: $4,200,000

Story: The Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa reimagined Camp Sacajawea in Boone, IA as a year-round hub for girl-led programming in the Midwest, inspiring outdoor spaces where girls can build skills, deepen friendships, and experience the joy of adventure in a place built just for them. EDEN+ conducted a wealth screening of GSGI donors and a grants investigation prior to the start of a large-scale capital campaign to set GSGI up for success. Later, EDEN+ helped guide campaign management focused on creative donor cultivation strategies, including personalized camp tours, unique engagement events, and outreach to former troop leaders, alumnae Girl Scouts, and longtime supporters to reconnect them to the mission and future vision of Camp Sacajawea.

Project: “Tomorrow Begins Today” Capital Campaign

Our Role: Feasibility Study & Campaign Management

Goal: $3,500,000

Story: We centered DMCP’s capital campaign around story and vision. Through the feasibility study process, we recognized the importance of customizing fundraising efforts to the existing culture of the Playhouse; and in the capital campaign, we honored donors’ creative passions, aligned timing with production seasons, and engaged both patrons and community investors. The take-away: when arts nonprofits trust a team that knows the world of arts and culture and truly cares about your nonprofit, your campaign’s ROI can reach new heights.

I would definitely recommend EDEN+ not just because of the success we had, but also because of their process and the way they made everything easy. They literally helped me sleep better at night.
— Ryan Crane, Former Director of Philanthropy, Des Moines Community Playhouse

Project: St. Thomas Aquinas Church "Growing our Faith" Capital Campaign

Our Role: Campaign Management

Goal: $6,000,000

Story: In guiding St. Thomas Aquinas Church through their $6 million capital campaign, we reaffirmed how critical it is to tailor the campaign process to a congregation’s culture. A major key: honor tradition while embracing change. We learned that by listening deeply to parishioners, volunteers, donors, and leadership, authentic buy-in is a natural result. In turn, the donations come rolling in. The takeaway: we understand how any church, large or small, can achieve exceptional fundraising outcomes when the strategy is personalized and rooted in integrity.

We wanted to work with a consultant who did as they promised, did it well, with integrity, and walked with us on the journey to completing our project. We found that in EDEN+.
— Jeanne Wells Thille, Campaign Executive Committee Volunteer, St. Thomas Aquinas Church

Project: MercyOne Richard Deming Cancer Center Capital Campaign

Our Role: Campaign Management + Rapid Review

Goal: $14,000,000

Story: Health care campaigns call for a nuanced combination of storytelling and strategy. Balancing donor expectations, technical campaign metrics, an established culture, and a deep patient-care mission was challenging, but incredibly rewarding—not just for us, but most importantly, for MercyOne. The lesson for other healthcare nonprofits: when you bring in a fundraising consultant who combines their extensive experience in the healthcare sector with a tailored approach, you unlock a multiplier effect in impact and ROI.

We’ve worked with the EDEN+ team on multiple projects. They’ve helped our campaigns raise millions of dollars and kept us on track and focused with the latest in philanthropy trends and techniques.

Project: “Food Today, Change Tomorrow” Capital Campaign

Our Role: Campaign Management + Feasibility Study

Goal: $5,800,000

Story: DMARC is a staple in the Des Moines metro, and community support for the “Food Today, Change Tomorrow” was evident right from the start. But instead of coasting off of moral support, we knew that the rubber had to meet the road. Beginning with a feasibility study to measure what the community actually thought about DMARC and its plan for a new food pantry was a critical first step. Having confirmed the need, we kicked off the $5.8 million campaign with energy, excitement, and true data to support the momentum. What working with DMARC demonstrated—and what we bring to other nonprofits—is that laying the groundwork through a thorough feasibility study sets the stage for an incredibly successful capital campaign.

More than just a vendor, EDEN+ was a true partner in achieving the goals we set for our organization. We highly recommend EDEN+.
— Matt Unger, Former CEO, DMARC

Schools & Education

Project: "Rooted in Learning" Capital Campaign

Our Role: Feasibility Study, Campaign Management, & Development Director On-Boarding

Goal: $20,000,000

Story: Even well-established schools like Bergman benefit from fresh, customized infrastructure and talent investment. We learned that meeting a school where it is—beginning with targeted research, board and donor alignment, and culture-fit staffing—creates momentum faster than one-size-fits-all solutions. The lesson for other schools: working with a fundraising partner that understands how investing in people before scaling the ask can drive incredible results for a capital campaign. Because when donors see the school’s readiness, the ROI flows naturally.

The Bergman capital campaign offered many opportunities and challenges—some were expected, others unexpected. EDEN+ welcomed these with creativity, determination, expertise, and a deep sense of partnership. Even as the SAC project was their primary focus at Bergman, they were always willing to find a moment to offer their expertise on other projects—and always with a smile.
— Christie Stover, Head of School, Bergman Academy

Project: "Finding Safety, Building Hope" Capital Campaign (New Shelter + Renovation of Current Shelter)

Our Role: Feasibility Study + Campaign Management

Goal: $6,000,000

Story: The Domestic Violence Intervention Program set out to build a new shelter and renovate their existing one—a two-fold project. EDEN+ helped turn the major capital campaign into a clear, organized, and community-driven effort. By providing strategic guidance, fundraising expertise, and campaign support, DVIP was able to build donor confidence, communicate a compelling vision, and create momentum around expanding services and long-term impact for survivors and families. This campaign doubled their capacity to provide safety for victim-survivors, their families, and their pets. The takeaway for similar nonprofits: working with EDEN+ means gaining an experienced fundraising partner who not only cares deeply about the success of your project, but has the expertise to see it through to success.

The research and practical tools EDEN+ provided ensured we put for a comprehensive and vibrant campaign. It has truly been a gift working with EDEN+. We couldn’t have done it without you.

Project: "Mission Pawsible" Capital Campaign

Our Role: Feasibility Study + Campaign Management

Goal: $4,000,000

Story: We tapped into tried-and-true fundraising momentum with All God’s Creatures. When you build a strategy around a beloved cause, and then tailor outreach to both passionate small donors and larger major‐givers, the impact is monumental. We didn’t lean on a generic playbook; we designed a campaign that spoke to the organization’s specific voice, audience, and timing. The broader lesson: animal-care nonprofits (and others) can see massive growth when they trust a fundraising consultant like EDEN+ who knows how to take your story and transform it into donor dollars.

There is absolutely no way this project would have happened without Eric and EDEN+. They do a wonderful job of walking you through the process and answering the multitude of questions that arise. Thank you Eric and EDEN+ for helping us make our dream a reality!
