DMARC: Capital campaign

We had our first meeting with DMARC in —-. They were in need of new facilities and had hopes of opening a food shelter. We discussed with them what it meant to conduct a capital campaign.

In —- of —-, they decided to move forward. We started with planning the stages of the campaign. We started with a feasibility study, to see what was possible.

Moving forward, we started the many steps of the campaign – conducting meetings with large donors, a mail campaign, fundraisers, and much more.

In the end, DMARC’s campaign raised $5.8 million. DMARC moves into its new headquarters at 100 Army Post Road following a $5.8 million “Food Today, Change Tomorrow” capital campaign. Later that year, in September, DMARC opens the “DMARC-ket South Side Food Pantry” on-site, becoming the first food pantry directly staffed and operated by DMARC.
