Christ the King Parish in Des Moines provided the perfect retirement present for Monsignor Bognanno: Leaving the parish community better than he found it.
In the years prior, Christ the King had financed several important projects. As Monsignor prepared for retirement, the looming parish debt weighed heavily on him. With the future in mind, Christ the King partnered with EDEN+ to raise the remaining funds needed to alleviate the debt, allowing Monsignor to close the books cleanly, and provide his successor with a clear focus on the pastoral needs of the parish.EDEN+ partnered with Christ the King to conduct a rapid campaign of $1 million. By working together, implementing a detailed plan, and addressing the unique needs of the parish, Christ the King and EDEN+ managed 40 volunteers who raised $1.5 million from 320 gifts. The average gift was $21,000.
